I’ve got good cans!

I’m up. Very up. I don’t even want to calculate how up I am. 159 lbs. Again. Blech.

So, let’s focus on what I did do (5k, 30 Day EAS Active Challenge) instead of what I didn’t do (LOSE WEIGHT), shall we?

That’s a 25 lb donation for each of those accomplishments. I didn’t have 50 lbs of food in the house so I invite you to visualize.

Yeah, so I’m up this week.

5 POUNDS!  5 POUNDS?!?!

I seriously have no idea what happened.

And I’m pissed.

Well, at least I finished the 30 Day Challenge and the 5k.  That’s 50 pounds to the food bank.

I’m not in the mood to write anything else.

SFG Week 6

I’m down another pound this week!  Yippee!

After skipping week 5 (I know…I’m bad) I am happy to report that I am down to 154.  That’s 4 pounds total for the challenge, and only 1 more pound to go to reach my goal!!

In other news, I know it passed quietly, but I DID finish the EAS 30 Day Challenge.  It took me 32 days, but I finished instead of quitting like I would have in the past.

You know what that means, right?  Another 25 pounds to the food bank!  That brings my grand total to 54 pounds of food going out there.  And WHEN I lose this last pound, that’ll mean I’ll have met all my goals.

Excuse me for tooting my own horn, but GO ME!!

SFG – Week 4 (a.k.a. “I’m LOSING IT!”)

Despite my 40 point dessert, I managed to drop another pound this week! That brings me to 3 pounds for the challenge (1.6 pounds down from where I started…stupid Week 1 gain!)

Shrink For Good – Week 3

I’m not entirely sure how it happened, considering all the sins I confessed on Monday, but I am down another pound this week!  This puts me at 156, just 3 pounds to go until my goal!  I need to switch into high gear if I want to lose those last 3 in the next 4 weeks,though.

5k Training – CHECK!

Good Choices – except for the weekend when I totally went insane when my sister-in-law made spice cake with cream cheese icing CHECK!

Result – DOWN 1 POUND!

Hell yeah.

SFG – Week 1

Shrink for Good with the Sisterhood!

I am actually up 1.4 pounds this week, but I expected it.

A certain unavoidable monthly occurrence is happening right now (I will never say it out loud on my blog) and I had my typical night time snacking binge last night.  It happens every 4 weeks.  And if I can use the past several years as any indication, I should have a fairly big loss next week.

So, I will keep drinking my water…and I vow to stay away from any more late night snack binges.

Shrink for Good with the Sisterhood!

I totally forgot that I was supposed to weigh in this morning for the new challenge.

So, after 2 meals I weighed in at…156.6!  Exactly where I was on Wednesday, so that’s pretty cool.

I WILL MEET MY GOAL FOR THE YEAR IN THE NEXT 7 WEEKS.

Oh, yes.  I will.

To get to 153 by the end of the Shrink for Good Challenge (Oct. 17), I need to lose .5 lb a week.  Considering the great cause that will benefit, the EA Sports Active 30 Day Challenge that starts tomorrow, and the 5k I have coming up, that should be totally, TOTALLY doable.

And Christy put an interesting goal out there for herself.  If she reaches her goal of 10 lbs. lost, she will donate 100 lbs. of food to her local food bank.

Not one to be outdone, I came up with my own goal(s):

  1. If I achieve my goal of finishing my 5k in 35 minutes or less, I will donate 25 lbs of food.
  2. If I stick with the 30 day challenge for the whole 30 days, I will donate 25 lbs of food.
  3. If I weigh in 3.6 lbs lighter on October 17th, I will donate 50 lbs. of food.

So there’s another 100 pounds of food going to the food bank, as long as I can do a little thing like eat less and exercise.
